Allen & Heath QU - PAC

I use the A & H QU 32 for large gigs as a hire company and bought the QU - PAC for smaller indoor venues.
The QU - PAC is fantastic, a very well thought out mixer which has all the advantages of the QU 32 but can be used remotely from an ipad. It has all the features of the larger desk and can be upgraded to 32 channels, it is intuitive and easy to handle. An added advantage is that it can also be controlled directly if needed.
Overall a superb piece of kit. It would have been nice to be able to use the headphone out on the ipad to PFL/AFL the mixer but you can't have everything.

J
I love this mixer.

I bought the Allen & Heath Qu-pac mixer to replace an older analog mixer for studio use and my one man band performances. I wanted a smaller foot print for my set up, so I only looked at rack mount mixers. I am very happy with the mixer.

The operation is very intuitive. There are many input possibilities and routing choices and the channel strip is wonderful. The effects are just perfect for me. I connect to my computer via usb to stream backing tracks and this works flawlessly. I use the 16 analog inputs for mics, piano, synth's, guest guitars... and the inputs 17-32 are used for inputs from the computer. Endless possibilities compared to my old analog mixer. I have used the stereo mini plug on the front to play music from a phone, and a usb disk plugged in to the computer comes into channels 31 and 32. Every input and output have processing possibilities like eq, gate, compressor, sends.... wonderful. The sound is very clear and consistent on all channels.

Mixing live is a little slow without faders, but it works and takes up such a small space. I have not hooked up a wireless router and an ipad, I can see that would speed up all mixer operations.

I highly recommend this mixer.

I have Soundcraft ui 12 and 16. This remote control is of course of a different level in all respects! Cool sound! Interesting control from the front panel! Multitrack! The quality is the highest! Yes, it's quite heavy, but it feels like that's how the quality weighs! It is a pity that now the price for it has increased significantly, even SB costs as UI 24 and there is already an interesting remote control. In any case, this is a great purchase and a pleasant experience)
