One of the best all round backbores you can buy. Can be used in the orchestra with a medium deep type cup,or in a commercial trumpet section with a shallower cup.

Good sound, perfect amount of resistance
Adrian4649 17.09.2016
The std7 backbone is a big enough backbone to give a full symphonic trumpet sound with just the right amount of resistance. For anyone looking to try warburton backbones this medium size is a perfect starting point. You can then easily decide if you need a tighter back bore (numbers 1-6) or a more open model (numbers 8-12).

Maximum efficiency, easy high register and a solid tone?
Paul014 05.12.2013
This is very much like an old Giardinelli backbore. It feels small and easy to blow but sounds solid and makes the upper octave easier. Take care to make sure you try parts that screw together well as they vary a little.
