The 7* is most like the standard Bach backbore 10 for me, it has good flexibility and a broader sound (wider note slots) with less projection than the 7. It is amazing that the shorter throat tube makes it so different - it also allows you to move pitches around on badly tuned trumpets for a little more playing effort.

Nutze die Backbore mit einem 3MC top und bin absolut zufrieden. Ansprache, Sound, Höhe, Lautstärke alles in guter Balance. EInziges Manko: Versilberung am Schaft ist bereits nach 3 Wochen Nutzung durch das in die Trompete stecken nicht mehr komplett. Kleiner optischer Mangel, den man aufgrund der positiven musikalischen Aspekte vernachlässigen kann.
