A
Ideal starter guitar for a (biggish) six-year old.
Andy737 02.08.2013
Sofia, the 6-year-old great-niece of a dear friend wanted a guitar, and had the chance of lessons at school. I ruled out a full-size (too big) and a quarter-size (sounds like a ukelele). I didn't want to spend too much in case she got bored with it. This one is very well-priced, very well made and sounds surprisingly good. It's certainly good enough quality for a young beginner. She found it a bit awkward at first, but after a few hours could hold it reasonably comfortably. (And 6 year-olds get bigger!) The only adaptation I made was to put a strap button on the heel and in the centre of the rear brace, so she can use it with a strap. Together with a basic stand, music stand, carry-case, foot-rest, strap and tuner etc. it was all very reasonable - and hugely appreciated. (She's still playing btw!)

A
Great guitar for child to learn with
Anonymous 05.09.2016
Bought this for my 4-year old. He is big for age, but I would guess another year it will fit him better.

The tone is very good when you consider the price being paid. I have played much more expensive full size guitars with sounding much worse than this guitar.

The action is OK for a child starting out and not too expensive if it gets banged and knocked at kindergarten. I bought this with the Thomann 1/2 size eco gig-bag which protects it reasonably.

The build quality is very nice, the neck is not too wide for little hands, compared to the guitar which were around when I started playing, this is very playable and has a nice tone.

For thew price and quality, there is not really much competition so I am very happy. Overall I think it will serve him well over the next few years before upsizing. Highly recommended.
