Excelent

Used to connect instruments from stage monitoring to FOH. No extra feedback, good connectivity.
Outside protective layer is good and the cable seems sturdy and of good quality.

A hackable investment for us small-scale tinkerers
Archyx 17.12.2022
I bought this one together with the sssnake SXX8100 for a small stage setup to avoid lugging a heavy overkill 30-meter 16/4 snake.

The build quality is exactly what to expect at the price tag. Unlike in the picture, the cable I received was black and had white numbered sleeves on the individual cores instead of the neater coding rings on the Neutrik X-series style plugs. The strain relieves in the cheap plugs don't grip the small cores too well, but that's somewhat expected. It also came with a basic velcro strap to keep the cable coiled up for storage.

In my use case I had need for 6/2 send/return configuration instead of the 8/0 it was built as, so I exchanged the plugs of cores 7 and 8 to make it suit my needs better instead of investing in four adapters or running two additional cables.

This is a time saver.....
Phil1688 01.03.2015
This sssnake is a massive time saver when setting up for gig and reduces the massive piles of leads leading from the stage to the mixing desk front of house.
Just plug the 8 numbered xlr inputs into the mixing desk and run the large single cable to the stage where everyone plugs it to the corresponding 8 plugs. Great idea and great quality for the price.
My only request would be for blank labels instead of the numbered ones so that you could record the mic details instead.

Tidy up the mess of cables...
Anonymous 27.10.2014
I got this for our three piece acoustic trio as I was getting fed up with the mess of wires along the front of the band. Now all replaced by one multicore. The length is just right for us.

We use four of the leads as inputs (Violin, mandolin and two microphones), and I have re-placed two of the XLR's with jacks to take the monitor feeds back from the mixer. I will swap the XLR's of one other channel to carry the feed to the powered PA speaker. So it is quite easy to adapt this for differing requirements.

I found it easy to solder, it works well and not only looks better but saves time in setting up. I am sure other, more expensive multi-cores, are sturdier and may last longer, but overall I think this is great value for money.
