Little gem
daveretro 22.01.2024
Bought as a backup for my main bass this little gem soon won me over. Many decades ago I played a 70s Fender Musicmaster and the Bronco was like putting on a comfortable pair of slippers. Not a brilliant sound with the standard Strat pickup fitted but the short scale gave back the abilities that my arthritic old hands had lost. OK, out of the box, it's a plain Jane with an adequate performance and a good enough finish. The neck is a modern easy profile the adjustable bridge is as good as a Fender and the machine heads/tuners are good enough as they are. If it's your first bass at around £160 new you can't go wrong and if like me age has slowed you down an excellent basis for upgrading with a decent bass pickup to give it the Thump and tonal range it deserves. The bridge and tuners are good enough so don't waste your money on changing them. I changed the cheapo plastic nut for a readily available bone nut for a few pounds and fitted a quality bass pickup and now use it as my go-to bass. Anything else would be purely for cosmetic purposes.

Great for beginners/second bass

Looks lovely, plays nice enough, sound is decent considering just the single pick up. I bought this as a back up bass as a lot lighter than my full scale Jazz. Very pleased.

Bargain!
Seano28 05.03.2025
Bought as a gift for my girlfriend, I have taken the liberty of giving it a go. As far as a budget bass goes this is really exceptional, find the intonation on the ‘G’ string can be a little bit out of tune sometimes at the higher frets, but for a starter bass the tone, feel and overall look is impressive given the price.

Very decent bass

Bought this to use as back up.
For the most part it's well made, but needs some upgrades.
The good thing is that the cavity under the pickguard can fit a musicman or a P-Bass style humbucker.
Nut and tuners need definetlyban upgrade. I can live with the bridge and saddles.
