A solid, yet pricey replacement cable
Hellhammer 27.01.2015
Everybody knows it, the cables of in-ear-headphones eventually will break, no matter how well you tread them.
Because of this, the cables of most upper-price in-ears are replacable.
Given that this cable is far more expensive on it's own than most in-ear-headphones you can find in consumer-electronic-stores, one could expect some quality.
Shure obviously delivers, as they do with all their products.
The built quality of the cable is leagues ahead of the quality of your average friends headphones.
Sadly, eventually even this cable will break.
I must admit that I don't treat my in-ears as well as I could, and so i approximatley have to buy a new one every one-and-a-half year.

Working as In tented

First of all Tech Support was more then awesome, somehow I succeeded not only to cancel part of my order, but also to change shipping address, and even later to add phone number to contact me, for that delivery guy. Simply amazing !!!

Concerning cable it self, it came in rugged specifically pre-made shipping package, in which I found original Shure box, with serial number of that cable, so it can be tracked if any concerns.

PROS n' CON'S;
CON'S;
More slimmer cable diameter then the original one which is ok as long as the signal passes trough it, at needed/promised quality rate :)

PROS;
The new cable work's as intended, is same length, and at the very end, where it goes around ear's, it is so much more easy bending then the original cable.

P.S. my original cable eventually broke cause I pulled it couple of times with hard pull, so the jack bended a bit at the tip, as well as to repeated use within 3years span, gold plated jack simply got spent.

I hope this help's you to decide whether to buy it, or skip and get cheaper ear phones all together.

I love the in-ear monitors but...

...these cables suck. The soft plastic/rubber coating on the metal wire wears off within weeks of intensive gigging and eventually causes problems with the audio. The wire is long and doesn't tangle so easily but this is a big minus.

Cable breaks easily and is not included in the Thomann 3 year warranty, the in ears are great you just have to really look after the cable although it will eventually break.
