I bought this product to use with my Behringer X32 Producer and my SD16 stage box. It worked fine with no problems but I couldn't resist dissembling the plugs to have a look at the quality of the cable and was very pleased at what I found because after all it is very inexpensive. It consists of four twisted pairs which is what you would expect of a top quality cable but not only that each twisted pair has a sheath around it and then the whole thing has a blue outer sheath. I was very happy but then I found out on the Behringer forum that Ideally the cable should be screened (shielded) I e-mailed Thomann to ask if it was but never got a reply so once again I dissembled the plugs to find that the cable does have a foil shield and shielded plugs but this is only connected at one end. Back to the Behringer forum where it was recommended that the shield should be connected at both ends. I won't go into details but I found it very easy to connect the other end and any small electronics workshop could do it. I believe this product to be top quality so there's no need to pay more.

Does the job and nice to use.

I bought this cable to connect a Behringer S16 digital snake to my X32 mixer. I haven't yet used it in the field but it seems to work quite happily on the reel. The cable itself is round and flexible - unlike many lumpy Cat5e cables - so it winds easily onto a cable reel. I found it slightly difficult to mate the connector with the X32 input but, once there, it seems very secure. As stated in the description, the body of each connector can be removed to expose the plug itself, allowing a Cat5e extension to be made. My only criticism is that it would have been helpful if the cable had been supplied on a cardboard or metal core, rather than simply wrapped. It would have made it a lot easier to transfer to a cable reel.

Tough cable

Good quality cables and connectors, very robust.
Ideal for connecting digital mixers to stages boxes etc.
Lies nice and flat and kink free, or you could put it on one of the metal cable drums (Item number 351445).
Also available in a 50 meter version and could be kinked with a RJ45 connector.
Works great. . .

Good bang for buck

Highly recommend getting a reel for this as it's not the easiest to hand coil. Seems durable though!
