Great Clarity and Sound - 2 connectors failed
Anonymous 27.09.2016
This was my first time using good quality cables for my bedroom rig (guitar - 3 pedals - Boss GS-10) and it was a real eye opener.

The difference in sound from my 10 year old cheap cables to a full set of high quality cables was night and day. Very clear and pure tone.

I use the above set as patch cables between my pedals and the GS-10. The solder-less system is very good and quick to put together. I had everything setup in about 10 minutes and they feel solid.

However while creating them I found 2 of the connectors to be faulty, one was missing a pin on the inside. I contacted Thomann and replacements were sent out to me about a week later. Perhaps some extra care is needed when checking the connectors before they leave the factory.

Pros:
Quality sound

Cons:
Quality control

Would I buy again:
If the QC was improved, yes.

Easy, but not 100% without flaws.
Anonymous 25.08.2016
Very, very easy... when it works.
I orered two sets, and I had about 20-25% of the connections fail me, spread evenly across both sets. If every connection would have worked, I would rate it 5 stars because it's just so easy (especially in emergency situations). But considering the price, I'm not happy that several of the connections didn't work:.the central pin in the connector got bent, broke off or just wasn't there, or "reason unknown".
Luckily, things were clear: it works or it doesn't. There's no loose contacts, crackling or buzzing. It's on or it's off. That makes it easy to spot a good or bad connection.
For my next cable works, I'll stick to soldering because I have time to do that. But this is a really good product for an absolute beginner, or for somebody who might need to do urgent repairs on the spot. Just don't count on every connector in the package.

Good Quality

Very good quality, but its a little too bulky. If you have a lot of space on your pedalboard, no problem.

Easiest Solderless patch cable
Anonymous 06.12.2016
just like George L's, This solderless cable doesn't need strip the cable cover. if you think Lava cable is not easy to make, this planet waves got the answer.

Just cut flat(very important. you need good cutter) and put the cable to the plug and screw it. done. same method to George L's.

somebody complaining about the failing but I think this one is the most reliable one. comes with cutter but I prefer use the high quality cutter tool to make flat contact.

I like the sound. I feel less high frequencies compare to Geroge l's. this one got more mid range and very smooth musical sound. good thing is You can buy bulk cables(not so expensive) if you need more cables later.
