This is my first experience with an electronic tuner and so far I am impressed. I have used various smart phone apps but was never happy with them.
It's very easy to use (even for first-timers). It clips on easily to the Tom rims (DW Collectors) but I find it easier to hold it over the head for a quick tuning check before a gig. I found it worked very well with my snare also (Ludwig Supraphonic) and has definitely helped to a tighter rounder snare sound. One improvement I would like to see is around the box. It does protect the device but it's awkward to remove the tuner and replace it after using. A small gripe really and easily rectified.

This thing just works, its quick to use. There are a few tricks that I recommend doing like having a moongel in the middle of the drum while tuning. Also I recommend reading the instructions. I rough tune my drums first and then use the tuner. Now I dont need it as much as this device made me a better tuner.

pro: simple and friendly
con: snare reso head tuning may not so easy, but slight overtone muting will help.
