Good Quality Cab
Kingtt 11.11.2019
Marshall MX112R. Okay so I was looking for a cab with the name Marshall on it because image matters a lot for me in my musical life and you can hardly find bad quality products with the big guys especially when you are specific on what you want. for me it was a small cab that I can use both in my bedroom and at very small gigs because there is this thing with me and heads, however this cab is a little heavy for a 1x12 cab but the build quality is great even though it might mot be as great as the bigger and more expensive cabs out there, this little guy does the job pretty well.
The sound that comes out of this cab is just great as one should expect of a Marshall product and being a closed back cab just gives it the extra point of usefulness in terms of playing in an apartment and not disturbing the neighbours and if you got a small amp, just crank the amp up and listen to what comes out of this cab, this is a bang for the buck when going for brand, you can't possibly go wrong with this cab and if you are a head guy like me, well this is definitely the cab for ya because I have tried a lot of practice amps and the tone that comes out of them are well horrible compared to this joy giver I can go on and on about this cab because it is just so ideal, it has the handle on it for portability, it's a 1x12 cab so it's not so tiny as to make you feel bad that you can't have a bigger cab because of space or that you can't use a bigger cab because you will be too loud, it sometimes gives the feeling of using a lighter combo with the controls being anywhere you want it to be, on the cab, or on the table next to you.

Good Bang For the Buck

It’s a 12 inch Celestion so works and sounds great, clearly there are more expensive variations, but for the money’s it’s fine, though I’ve never pushed it hard as yet!

For the price, one should not complain. Cab structure was fine, no flaws there. But I did not like the sound of the speaker inside, even after some hours of playing, it sounded harsh. Also, the speaker cable (nice you get one included with the cab) wouldn't fit as snugly as I had hoped. Tried a better cable I had, same result. Taking a look at the jack inside confirmed my suspicion: instead of a back plate with a jack plug attached, it was all 1 big plastic piece. So simply replacing the speaker plug was not an option. As I did not like the stock speaker that much, I thought of putting in another one. But new speaker + new decent back plate + new decent speaker jack... that would cost almost the same as this cab. So I decided to return it. I suppose if you use this cab with a solid state head, a speaker jack coming loose wouldn't be that much of a problem.

Great cab

Needed a extension cabinet for my Marshall dsl 20 cr. I don't like the Celestion 70/80, but mounted Celestion Century Vintage's in both the MX112 and the DLS20 as well. Best clean tone I've heard after break in of the speakers. Overdrive is a tiny bit trebly, but cuts well through in a band setting. I've had planned to swap speakers before buying the amp and cab.
