Good mixture of well-known, post-bop jazz standardsGood mixture of well-known, post-bop jazz standards
Jazz bassist 18.08.2021
I bought this compilation of jazz standards due to its fairly interesting selection of well-known, relatively recent and accessible jazz standards from jazz giants like Miles Davis, Horace Silver and Herbie Hancock and others from the post-bop and thereby a recent period in jazz after 1960. There are a couple of bossa novas ther too, and two blues tracks in F and Bb are thrown in as well.
This product covers a lot of musical ground and feelings, and you ar greatly entertained during your solo practicing or rehursal.
The band on each track is a genuine and good-sounding with great jazz musicians playing in their own right. The compilation can be listened to as if it was a regular trio concert CD though the melodies are not added for practice purposes.

Improvisieren macht Spaß!
Isabell D. 29.02.2012
