V
Sound quality might be better
Vujekvasyl 02.02.2020
It's difficult to describe sound quality of digital pedal that pretends to be "analogue". Nevertheless the quality of the digital chip being used determines the sound as being "flat and two dimensional" or "spacious and three dimensional". And when long delay comes through modulation circuit within seconds you have hundreds of delay tails which you can listen to so audiophile grade DAC is very important. I have tons of delay pedals and I love the ones with the modulation. I like Source Audio Nemesis very much - it sounds exceptionally clean when you need it. Even the mono sound sounds like it was coming out of the speakers and circling around my head. So is Boss DD200 - modestly priced and excellend sounding one though it lacks modulation rate knob. Eventide is biult very well and it has very versatile features for those obsessed with modulated delay. My only complaint is that what it comes out of my guitar cabinet is not convincing in terms of sound quality. It is "ok" but not perfect. All in all the pedal was very promissing but I feel a little disappointed with it.

(Edited X/2020) After almos a year I have more practice with this pedal and I maintain my opinion: very interesting effect but one-dimensional, for one purpose only. Tape-like sounds are very convincing. It is not possible to fiddle out cleaner tones. A pitty because it might make this effect more versatile. Nevertheless I used this delay on a whole album where I managed to create very interesting Adrian Belew - like sounds.

T
one of the best delay pedals ever made
Tony1 06.03.2021
I own many delay pedals, but this one really surprised me as of sound quality and depth.. really unmatched, you get every single nuance of your original sound and with all the modulation capabilities, plus the filter setting, you can taylor the effect to every need (vintage style to modern). Dry signal is analog and theres no noise at all. You have the possibility to save presets and recall them easily, plus the A/B function proved very useful for me, its really a fantastic product.
