P
A must have for
PaulAi 29.06.2022
Great overall quality, for me personally the choice for broadcasting. Compared it to a few mic in the same spectrum but loved the natural tone this renders for my voice.
I might end up buying a second one :)
Paired with a Preq-73 from Golden Audio or any other neve clone and you are in a beautiful place. Can only recommend, grab the wind foam cover as well if you purchase.

Not impressed

I buy a lot of things from Thomann, very happy with the quality and it’s rare occasions that promises and not fulfilled. but this was expensive and I was not impressed. I should have returned, in the time window, but I was on tour and missed the opportunity before I realized that it’s not optimal for brass at all and I’m still looking for a solution to reduce the Noise and sound, probably more sit for a bass drum, it’s very heavy too and hard for positioning. Needs a good quality interface to boost power. Pity.

The quality is not the same as before

I bought three microphones and one stopped working after 2 hours of work. The sound is more different from their old production. I'm not fascinated.

Nicht nur der Ton macht die Musik. It's not just the sound that makes the music.
Susan Yoshi 06.02.2021

No, the microphone also makes the music. None were suitable for my alto sxophone. Either they preferred the background noise or it sounded like a football horn or another instrument. With the RE20 I have a change in sound, right. But now the recording sounds like a saxophone, wow! The bass reduction extends to c/cis (on the piano: d/e) and influences the overall sound of the low tones; Here you can play a little. Ultimately, I prefer to have unchanged originals and make adjustments when mastering.
