Celestion G12T-75 8 Ohm

25

Speaker for Guitar Combos and BoxesThe company Celestion is represented in so many amps and boxes, that a long introduction is probably unnecessary.

The G12T-75 is probably the most used guitar speaker of all. Due to its broad, balanced frequency spectrum and its pressure is an excellent all-rounder and equally capable in combos or large 4 x12 systems.

K
Good speaker
Krausz 05.12.2014
I am using it in an old Marshall cabinet. I already have a vintage 30 in a DIY cabinet I made myself, and if I connect them both into my Carvin tube amp the sound is excellent. The vintage 30 is on the floor, and the Marshall cabinet with this speaker is above it as in a full-stack. Some people complain that it is too aggressive and mid-rangy and works only for metal an such. Guess what, in this combination I can play folk-rock in it and sounds excellent. What is true the Carvin V3M is a really versatile amp, so I guess it depends highly on the amp too. But is adds a nice beef to the Vintage 30's more bassy type of sound.

O
Going for Frusciante tone
OsheLV 13.12.2018
Hi! First off, just to make things clear, this is the first speaker i have ever bought seperately, but i know the sound i'm looking for, and also have i played thorugh many amps in my life.
*Sidenote, i'm using a stratocaster.
In my valve amp, sound is so great, literally- luscious, running it through the dirty channel with low gain. Has a very clear high end and overall really pleasing tone. Not too bright or too bassy.
So, my ''guitar'' guy, recently built a couple of combo amps without speakers in them (great thing that its built so simple you can just choose the speaker you want and replace it anytime) to sell for his close friends and customers. -I tried it with 2 different Fender speakers- the sound was just too bright for me. And for my surprise Vintage 30 also wasn't what i was looking for, but G12T was the perfect match as soon as i tired it. I guess you could call it's sound a little bit more 'modern', but only in a sense that lots of people are being told to look for the mysterious ''warm vintage tone'.
I love it

JA
The Celestion G12T-75
John Arg 02.06.2021
I know many people dislike the G12T-75 with passion. I'm not one of them! I find the T75 the best speaker Celestion has ever released! It has a very big tone with lots of bass and low mids, but without it being muffled. The highs are there too! It's an aggressive speaker and works perfectly with dirt tones, especially fuzz tones. If you are using a clean amp, use this speaker and your pedals will sound fuller and more aggressive. Can't recommend this enough!
As always great service and fast delivery by Thomann!

Für mich der vielseitigste und ausgewogenste Rock-Speaker!
Oliver F. 12.11.2009
