I bought a 5-string ver. for my Sandberg TM5 (old shape). The original bridge on my Sandberg works quite good. It provides various setting by a many screw. But, if you just want to set your bass in some easy way, Babicz will be the best choice. It is also a powerful bridge that you could feel and tune the tension of strings during the action setting. Beside, the vibration is totally different between two bridges. It feels like a little bit tight and compression with Sandberg, and feels hollow with Babicz. The vibration can easily penetrate the whole body of bass. With Babicz, everything becomes so sweet.
However, there is a miserable fact that I have no choice to disassemble the Babicz bridge. My TM5 is old shape of Sandberg with 35? neck. The gauge of screw of is not exactly fit for Babicz, but this is not the main problem. I think it is based on the gauge of Fender to design the bridge, and it maybe takes 34? scale bass for a example. Therefore, on my Sandberg 35? TM bass???I cannot tune the B-string to the right octave!!!!! Even if I rescrew the bridge to backward side, it is tough to fit the scale of string. This just a case happen on my bass, but it still an awesome bridge when it comes to sound performance.
I think now I have a opportunity to buy a Fender bass, just because of the bridge!
