The P-45 is not overloaded with functions that are often superfluous in practice, but focuses instead on key features including an authentic piano sound, a good keyboard, and a number of practical extras such as an integrated metronome. The GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keyboard featuring graduated weighting imitates the touch sensitivity of a real grand piano, resulting in keys that feel slightly heavier in the bass range than in the higher registers. The sounds are based on AWM stereo sampling and can be varied using four different reverb types to provide the optimum performance experience. With its Dual and Layer modes and a Duo mode, the P-45 also enables the user to mix two sounds together or to split the keyboard into two sections.
