The guitar is all that I expected. I have several guitars and wanted a reasonably priced 6 string acoustic/electro instrument. This fills all the things I wanted and it is a joy to play. The only thing I am not sure of is the type of strings it came with and I am waiting for a set of light strings to arrive, the sort I prefer. I am sure they wil nota ffect my view of the guitar

I was really in love with this guitar when I first got it, it's absolutely stunning, great quality as usual from Yamaha. The size fits really nicely when playing it, I think it's great for children starting out as well. However, after about a year I ended up selling it, because I was not happy with the sound anymore, when played acoustically. After playing around with other guitars from friends and comparing I noticed it doesn't really have much bass or resonance, I assume because of the smaller body, and I couldn't stop noticing it after. I will probably end up buying one from the FG 8 series next.

Ich hatte bis vor kurzer Zeit noch eine YAMAHA APX 500 II. Diese gefiel mir schon sehr gut durch ihre Handlichkeit und Verarbeitung. Nach einem kurzen Intermezzo mit einer EPIPHONE HUMMINGBIRD habe ich mir nun die APX 600 in VINTAGE WHITE bestellt. Unverstärkter Sound: voluminöser als der Vorgänger, der Gitarrenhals ist "griffiger" geworden, sprich liegt besser in der (meiner) Hand. Die Ausführung in weiß ist natürlich reine Geschmackssache, aber ich finde es ziemlich ansprechend. Verstärkter Sound: super ausgewogen, sehr natürlich, gut einstellbar durch den eingebauten Equalizer. Habe nach der Lieferung am gleichen Tag einen Auftritt gehabt und festgestellt, dass ich unbedingt andere Saiten aufziehen muss. Die "Werks-Saiten" haben mir nach 3 Stunden das Spiel doch ziemlich verleidet, da diese sehr hart waren. Ich spiele normalerweise 010er Saiten und komme damit auch über 5 Stunden super klar. Das wäre momentan der einzige Kritikpunkt. Ansonsten Top-Gitarre, unfassbares Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und nach wie vor der Spitzenreiter in meiner Akustik-Sammlung. Fazit: uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert.
