Three-in-one moving head

The compact Varytec Hero Wash 340FX RGBW Zoom is a true all-rounder that excels with incredibly powerful, high-quality LED lights that users would normally expect to find in moving heads of a higher price category. True to its name, the Hero Wash 340FX RGBW Zoom is an expert in broad wash-type beam angles for area lighting, but this versatile moving head has even more features in store: A zoom function for creating a narrow beam and rotatable LED lights for a blade effect that is particularly great for parties. Users who do not own a DMX controller can also opt for a separately available remote control. The low-weight Hero Wash 340FX RGBW Zoom moving head can additionally be purchased as a bundle comprising six units and a carrying case.

Versatile lighting effects

The Varytec Hero Wash 340FX RGBW Zoom, which features three 40W RGBW LED lights, allows the beam angle to be increased to up to 45° to light large stage areas, and decreased to 4° for a particularly focused beam. Sufficient cooling is ensured by the built-in fan, whose low operating noise will remain unnoticed when loud party music is playing. Getting the party crowd pumped up to the beat is a breeze with the moving head's blade effect, which is created through continuous rotation of the LED wheel at variable speed. On the rear side of its base, the Hero Wash 340FX RGBW Zoom features two Power Twist sockets for connecting a power supply, a pair of three-pin XLR sockets for a DMX controller, and an easily accessible fuse holder. The moving light can be controlled via DMX, via the buttons and the display on the unit, or using an infrared remote control, which is available as an optional accessory and requires a clear line of sight to the front of the base.

For parties and concerts

The Hero Wash 340FX RGBW Zoom provides party organisers with an easy-to-use solution for illuminating a dance floor, for example, by selecting one of the eight automatic programmes via the menu buttons on the display. This moving head is a particularly space-saving solution for club owners that offers a spotlight for the centre vocals, area lighting for the entire stage, and a blade effect in one unit. The Hero Wash 340FX provides rental companies with versatile application options that cater to the needs of a wide range of users, from professional performers who love to push the limits of their eight or 16 DMX faders and mobile DJs through to beginners who prefer to use a simple remote control function. Thanks to its low weight of just 5.8kg, the Hero Wash 340FX RGBW Zoom will also be an excellent companion for all club-touring bands who are looking for a lightweight moving head to complement their lighting equipment.

About Varytec

Over the years, Thomann has greatly enriched its already extensive range of lighting products with its in-house brand Varytec. In addition to LED spotlights, theatre lighting, and moving lights, Varytec offers an arsenal of matching accessories. Tripods, cables, power distributors, and all kinds of other components are, like the lighting solutions themselves, manufactured by well-known names in the field. The firm’s direct sales approach, which eliminates intermediate retailers, ensures that all of these products are nevertheless attractively priced. Varytec's range comprises well over 200 items, which will illuminate everything from home-streamer setups to photo studios, theatres, and concert halls.

For beginners and experts

Users who want to keep it simple can place the Varytec Hero Wash 340FX in the backdrop, behind the DJ booth, or in front of the stage portal, and use the optional remote control to immediately activate a sound-to-light show, cast flashing strobe lights on the walls, and switch between different automatic programmes. An additional hazer or fog machine will further enhance these visual effects, and several units can also be combined as a group using the master/slave mode for an even more impressive light show. Professional users who want to suspend the Hero Wash 340FX RGBW Zoom from a truss in a club can simply attach the included mounting bracket to the underside of the base, fasten one of the optionally available suspension adapters, and mount the unit on the truss. The integrated reversal function allows the display of the suspended unit to be rotated by 180° to facilitate readability. And users going on tour can easily integrate the Varytec Hero Wash 340FX RGBW Zoom into any existing signal chain of a three-pin or five-pin DMX controller using a matching DMX adapter (also available separately).

Great light output, horrible movement
st james 05.10.2021
Great for it's price, the CW, WW switching is a good feature. Dividing the beam into three gives a nice effect also, almost as if it had a prism, but the beams extend way wider. I was amazed to see its light output. At slower movement speeds, pan and tilt jiggle and aren't smooth. You can only use it's movement for faster paced tracks.

Do not Buy
Media_IRE 25.06.2024
We have bought 9 of these. Two different purchases and venues. In one venue the motors went constantly as they we fixed hanging down and the beams tilt was at max. Other venues the Defusers came off inside and one the blue stopped working. Initially I was impressed with these lights but they constantly breaking. out of 9, think 3 are still working (not being used because we can't depend on them)

Really great moving head

Loads of punch. Lots of variability to them and they work well for different settings.

We use them in our 200 capacity venue for all types of shows.

Good value for money.
