Didn't fit my 1. gen. Ultimate Apex so well

This clamp for some reason doesn't fit my 1. gen. Ultimate Apex so well. Once mounted and all keyboards hooked up with multicores and all I realised that the one keyboard (Kurzweil K2500) using this clamp can rock up and down, and there's no way of tightening the clamp sufficiently. I have no idea whether the Ultimate guys changed their design along the way and the problem is due to my stand being at least twenty years old, but still...... Not okay.

I previously bought an Apex Ultimate keyboard stand, I needed an extra clamp for it.
This stuff is so solid, it will never break. They give life warranty on this product and it totally makes sense because it is really hard to break.
If you want the best keyboard stands out there, go for quality and buy it once! Buy Apex Ultimate and you are set for life. I have two of them, the oldest one is 15 years old and you can't tell! it's still in perfect shape.
