The TWS 1x12 bass cab is a compact speaker cabinet that's a perfect match for the manufacturer's BassBoy amp head. With a closed-back housing and a front-facing bass reflex port, this full-range speaker delivers a precise, punchy low end combined with an extended bass response. Small in size though it is, this cab proves that an imposing sound doesn't require massive speakers. True to the TWS boutique, hand-built concept, the manufacturer also offers alternative speaker configurations at no extra cost: One excellent alternative would be the Jensen Bass Smooth 12, known for its modern, clear bass tone.

In this standard version of the TWS 1x12 bass cab, there's an 8 ohm, 12" Eminence Kappa-12A - a model that is known for its high efficiency rating and covers a frequency range from 62Hz to 4.2kHz, and which delivers a punchy, well-defined low end with an extended bass response – thanks too to the cab's sealed construction and bass reflex port. This cab is a classic on the inside as well: The speaker has a ferrite magnet and paper cone, and can handle up to 450W. With a maximum sound pressure level (SPL) of 99.3dB, it's loud enough for smaller gigs and rehearsal spaces, making it the ideal partner for the TWS BassBoy not just optically, but acoustically too.

Its stylish black-and-silver grille cloth lets the speaker cone move freely without interference, while the black Tolex covering not only sits seamlessly alongside classic cabinets from other makers but also protects the enclosure and the front baffle, which are made from 15mm Baltic birch plywood. This construction ensures durability and longevity, but despite its solid build, the cab weighs just 15.5kg and comes with a sturdy carrying handle, making it easy to move from gig to gig. Measuring just under 60cm in width, the TWS 1x12 Bass Cab provides the perfect foundation for the TWS BassBoy amp head. Paired with this all-tube top, it'll deliver first-class sound for studio sessions, rehearsals, and small gigs. This hand-built German cab, standing 40cm tall, can also be stacked with an additional TWS bass cab: The resulting stack, even taking into account the matching head, will still be far more compact than bass rigs with a comparable output and sound quality. And to keep these boutique bass beauties nice and clean on the road, TWS also offers custom-fitted, padded premium covers for both the cab and the amp – they're even splash resistant.
