Playing with pixies can be difficult, the intonation is off and your range is limited. Not with this Tom Crown pixie !!
It’s so good in any register and in tune that you also easy could use it as a straight mute. With an original plunger the sound and feel of the 100 year originals by conn can be copied but with a more even scale and character. The mute is also very easy playing, not hard as the ancient ones. In combination with a ‘normal’ plunger the sound of Cootie Williams can be copied easily

Great mute, but came with a small dent. It's a pity.

Tom Crown Trumpet Pixie Alu

Intonacja do zaakteptowania, natomiast brakuje charakterystycznego bzyku w brzmieniu. Testowałem kilka Pixie i na tle wypada dosyć dobrze.
Ciężko znaleźć dobrego Pixie wśród nowych produktów.
