Las sordinas de esta marca son bastante sorprendentes desde el punto de vista de la comodidad que proporcionan al intérprete. Ofrecen muy poca resistencia al aire por lo que no resultan tan incómodas como las de otras marcas. A penas hay diferencia de caudal de aire ni de presión del mismo necesario para hacer sonar el trombón con o sin ellas. Ésta en concreto, con la copa de cobre, proporciona al sonido una brillantez bastante particular. Para mi, esta marca y modelo no es sino la mejor sordina modelo straight del mercado. Recomendable tanto a profesionales de la enseñanza, concertistas y, como no, a estudiantes sea cual sea su nivel.

Très bonne sourdine mais il faut l'adapter

Comme la plupart des sourdines Tom Crown, les lièges sont trop épais et elle ne tient donc pas bien. Il faut donc couper les lièges sinon elle tombe et cela donne une jolie bosse dans la sourdine...

Super Dämpfer!

Ich habe mich nach längerem Überlegen für einen copper bottom Dämpfer entschieden und bereue diese Entscheidung nicht!
Natürlich, das Gewicht ist höher als bei einem reinen Alu-Dämpfer (federleicht ist was anderes...), aber das nehme ich für den Sound gerne in Kauf!
Sowohl mit meiner Jazz- als auch meiner normalen Tenorposaune, der Dämpfer spricht von der Höhe bis in die Tiefe super an, und liefert einen knackigen, lauten Sound - dabei hat er, aufgrund des Kupferbodens, dennoch eine gewisse angenehme Wärme dabei, und klingt nicht so "blechern" wie manch andere Dämpfer.
Auch von der Verarbeitung her gibt es nichts zu beanstanden (na gut, das Tom Crown Klebe-Logo hatte eine kleine Falte ;) ...). Sollte er dennoch mal seinen Geist aufgeben, kommt sicher wieder der selbe ins Haus!
