A
great for the money

Very sturdy, not had any problems in that area. The magnetic rails for the bolts are useful when adding new units into the rack, and it comes with bolts, which not every rack does! However, a word of warning is needed for anyone wanting to use it with rack units that require support at the back (pull out drawers, deeper units etc.) - there are no fixings at the back (I imagine you'd be hard pressed to find a rack at this price that did however), so if you're looking to mount a drawer or something similar, I'd recommend you spend a bit more and get something with rear fixings. However, for the price this is a simple but very well made and sturdy rack, and very recommended!

Good quality and robust enough
Coto Tutugno 13.02.2020
I have purchased this as a budget option to hold all my studio rack modules and was not dissapointed. I comes with nuts and bolts and the nuts are inside the rail, so they never get lost. Easy to set up and stable enough. I would not recommend touring with it as it lacks front and back panels, however it doesn't look it was designed for that anyway.
One thing I am missing is a way to hook stuff at the back, like 2-3U of rack rails or some hook loops. I guess that's out of scope though and one can always drill the side panel to fix a power outlet. That's something I'll take care of next. All in all a good purchase and even cheaper than used units.

It's a bit wobbly.
McCaldin 25.08.2014
It's an inexpensive rack that wobbles about quite a bit if you haven't filled it with rack devices.
It is protective and has survived being moved back and forth about the house for 6 years.
I've taken it out and about to record in different locations but it is best suited just for staying in your studio.

J
A good economy studio rack
Janice 30.11.2013
This rack is fine for mounting outboard hardware etc in a studio environment. Rack nuts are captive and slide within a mounting strip so a little planning has to be done to ensure that equipment can be mounted and removed with the minimum of fuss and juggling to get the nuts in the right places. Not a big deal though. The rack has rubber feet and is lightweight but sturdy especially when loaded with equipment.
