You know that handy assembly with your MDF furniture from IKEA? The fastening of screws to pilot holes, and turning the locker nut to secure one piece to another? Don't you just love that simple but robust solution?
Yeah this thing tries to do the same but fails spectacularly at it. Because for whatever reason, they skipped the step where these things screw into pilot holes! When assembled - according to the instructions, mind you - the side walls of this unit are barely fastened to the tops, ready to be pulled away at any moment really.
If you want any kind of sturdiness out of this thing, be prepared to drill some holes and assemble this thing with standard countersunk wood screws.
On the positive side, the material is quite nice, the rack rails and the screws are pretty solid too. If you're not in an urgent need for a 3U mount, I suggest you look elsewhere.
