Thon Keyboard Case M-Audio KS 88ES

Fits my ks88 mkii perfectly, even though it's technically 5 mm deeper than ks88es. The case itself is very sturdy and very well built - it already had its first test in a form of delivery, as the box it arrived in was torn and damaged as if the deliverers played ball with it for a couple of days, yet the case itself doesn't have a scratch.
As one of the reviewers already mentioned however, there is only a space for keyboard itself and no space for accessories. I have a couple of other points that this product could be improved on:
1. The handle is positioned to the side rather than the middle, so the keyboard hangs on one side when carrying and strains the wrist. It could have been easily avoided if the handle was just positioned in the middle
2. The closing hinges seem to be a bit misaligned, so when closing the case you have to shift the lid slightly to the side so that the catches can snap in place.

i was looking for a case for my Casio PX-S 1000.Thomann doesnt mention this case,all recommended bags are soft bags.I tried this case and fortunately it fits perfectly.This is sturdy and will protect your keyboard but strangely it doesnt have a lock,which is why i took off 2 stars.I managed to solve this using a small chain and lock since other than that the case is very practical.But i really shouldnt have to resolve to such solution.

Die Verarbeitung ist zweifelsfrei auf professionellem Niveau. Die ausreichend starken Multiplex-Platten sollten, bei sachgerechter Ladung, auch dem etwas ruppigeren Transport auf dem Trailer Stand halten (man muss ja nicht unbedingt ein PA-Flightcase ‚drauf tippen…). Alle Leisten, Schlösser, Kugelecken und der Griff sind sauber und ordentlich vernietet.

Ein Highlight ist der Tragegriff mit seiner sehr angenehmen, stabilen Polsterung. Diese ist so komfortabel, dass man die in der Produktbeschreibung angegebenen knapp 20 kg (Case MIT Instrument) nicht als solche wahrnimmt.

Die Keystation wird durch die umlaufenden Polster optimal in das Case eingebettet. Von oben wird das Instrument von Noppenschaumstoff fixiert. Dies ermöglicht, zusätzlich die Bedienungsanleitung, das USB-Kabel und ähnliche Kleinigkeiten mit hinein zu packen.

Damit wären wir auch schon bei den Wermutstropfen: Grundsätzlich ist es möglich, das Keyboard über den USB-Anschluss mit dem nötigen Strom zu versorgen. Bei der Verwendung eines Laptops ist allerdings ein Netzteil zu empfehlen, damit es zu keinem Strom-Engpass kommt. Außerdem werden Tasteninstrumente in der Regel mit Pedal gespielt. Aber: Weder Netzteil noch Pedal passen mit ins Case. Eine Erweiterung des Cases um 10cm hätte das Gewicht sicher nicht unzumutbar erhöht, würde aber manches zu Hause oder im Studio vergessene Zubehör vermeiden.
