No other bag comes close to this in terms of price and performance

So you've bought yourself an acoustic steel string guitar and perhaps one in blue (as I did)? Perhaps you play the blues and the bag would be a sight gag for you? Or you just want a bag that will stand out from the sea of black guitar bags when you go to band practice, your guitar tutor, or your local guitar group.

Whatever the case - or should I say "whatever is your bag" (ahem) - this bag will stand out from the crowd and then there are the specifications which speak for themselves. 20mm foam padding, of which you're not going to have with any guitar bag here in the UK for under £20, nor the two enormous pockets and best of all: the bag is comfortable to carry by hand/resting on my shoulders and back.

I've bought the black version for electric guitars and that is still looking new and is fully intact almost two years later (with the original black metal zips too and black piping), so I expect this to perform as well. By comparison I also have five Thomann eco electric guitar bags that are all doing a fantastic job of looking after the rest of my guitars. None of those are scratched by being in the bags, and neither is my acoustic in this.

I would say that if you were gigging on a serious basis, to spend a bit more and get the Elite or Premium model (however a version of either of those in blue would be appreciated!).

This is my second Thomann Gigbag and i'm very pleased with the quality of the material is used for it, also the inner padding really does a good job. The only thing i wanted a bit different is the zipper to open from the top than from the sides.

A blue bag for my blue guitar
luftmietze 04.02.2023
I bought this bag to go with my Harley Benton D-120CE TB. The bag fits the guitar’s colour and it’s dimensions. The dreadnought style guitar fits snugly with its strap attached.
On the plus side: The bag is quite well padded and it protects the guitar well. For a causal musician, looking for something to protect their guitar at home or to carry it in when going to lessons, this bag is ideal. If you are a touring musician or planning on flying with your guitar then I would suggest something else.
The straps make the bag easy to carry both in and out of vehicles and in public transport.
The bag is pretty well supported and does not collapse when the guitar is removed.
The pockets offer enough room for all of the accoutrements that guitarists inevitably carry.

On the negative side: The stitching is not straight! Thankfully it all holds together but whoever did the stitching did not take much care.
This particular bag is made in India. I have another Thomann bag that was made in China. On the Chinese bag the stitching is perfect.

The skew stitching is a minor detail and the bag is still good value for money but as the saying goes: “It’s the little things that count”.

Good quality and value zips etc feel sturdy and nicely padded.
Will save your guitar from the knocks but not of course as good as a hard case.
