Thomann 12H Ocarina C1 orange

Compared to the C3 this thing is tiny. Im a man with average sized hands and i can just about hit the holes on this. If you have larger hands I'd go for the larger C3 because it will be easier to play.
Despite its size it has a beautiful sound (after a little practice). It can get a little screechy compared to its big brother but dont let that put you off. I sent for this and the C3 at the same time (saved on postage) and im glad i did as they both offer something different.

Neutral:

Die Tonqualität dieser Kunststoff-Ocarina ist grundsätzlich genauso gut wie bei einer Keramik-Ocarina.

Negativ:

Allerdings sammelt sich bei dieser Kunststoff-Ocarina im Gegensatz zu Keramik-Ocarinas beim Spielen Speichel an, wodurch der Ton nicht mehr so voll ist - insbesondere hohe Töne lassen sich nicht mehr gut ansprechen.

Im Gegensatz zu den 10-Loch-Ocarinas hat diese 12-Loch-Ocarina kein Doppelloch, so dass es schwierig ist, das Cis zu spielen (halbes Loch).

Positiv:

Die zusätzlichen Löcher der 12-Loch-Ocarina erlauben, allein mit den Fingern um einen Ganzton unter den Grundton C zu gelangen, während dies bei 10-Loch-Ocarinas eine Änderung des Ansatzes und Anblasdrucks erfordert.

Eine Kunststoff-Ocarina hält mehr aus als eine Keramik-Ocarina. Wenn man sie fallen lässt besteht die Chance, dass sie ganz bleibt und sogar noch spielbar ist.

Zum Reinigen kann man diese Kunststoff-Ocarina einfach mit Leitungswasser ausspülen - was man mit Keramik-Ocarinas tunlichst unterlassen sollte.
