I have a small studio but with quiet a lot of reflective surfaces. I added this to the 1st reflection point from the speakers and have now created a warm sweet spot in the area where I sit at my DAW. Worth the money, will be getting more for sure when i move to a larger space.

Too many in 1 set?

Hard foam diffusers, extremely light, so no density as in a wood diffuser, but a solid reflective surface. Unless you have a really large room I cannot imagine anyone needing eight of these and it would be better if they sold him in smaller groups like two or four at a time. I am about to set them up and will add another review to see how they sound, but they are inexpensive diffuser so you get what you pay for.
