MJ
Rich Chorus sound for the price.
Mick Jansen 28.04.2019
I previously owned one of those Behringer choruspedals, which surprisingly sounded very warm and quite rich for it's (build)quality and price. The reason why I'm getting rid of it, is that it isn't true bypass so it leaves a nasty hum when it is chained. I came across this choruspedal and saw it was true bypass and also from tc electronic. A already had some pedals from tc electronic and I knew that they know what they're doing with their pedals.
When it came in the mail, I found it to be a bit bigger than expected. It nearly didn't fit on my pedalboard. The upside though is that it is build like a tank. Full metal body with some weight to it. This pedal is going to last long. The sound was already better out of the box than my original choruspedal. It was even richer, but didn't leave a nasty hum behind when it was turned off. The pedal is a very basic chorus effect with the three main parameters. The knobs are very firm and satisfying to use. They're also quite big, so if needed you can change the settings quickly with your foot while playing.

R
Afterglow Chorus

Chorus is an effect I've "Done without" for over 10 years! I can remember the early versions, and now there are quite a lot of variations available. I wanted a basic simple to use, but good traditional sounding implementation. I also have quite a few other TC Electronic effects - They're all impressive and of excellent standard! The manufacturer gave me the confidence in a much lower priced product. I'm not disappointed. Just 3 controls, and I started with everything at "12 o'clock", which worked excellent! That's a good test of any effect or amp. I don't use chorus that often, but now I have an excellent sounding addition to my pedalboard. The 4 little feet had to be removed and velcro fitted to mount it on the pedalboard. I noted another reviewer's comments about stiff Philips screws, so selected the proper No.2 Philips screwdriver - only to find there was no battery inside anyway. I got caught out some years ago by failing to remove the battery from a pedal and it corroded the case from inside. Just making sure this time.

Really solid. Probably won't break. Ever. Usable as a throwing weapon.

Sounds amazing, very vintage analog chorus vibe.

Good unit for a great price
EsatE 21.06.2021
For the price, the pedal sounds really good. Classic analog chorus, very warm sounding (not so crisp, which I like), and not too extreme. Works good with the bass guitar/double bass. The casing and the knobs are very solid, but very bulky. It's a heavy in weight and takes more space than a regular Boss unit. After many shows, the power input started to jiggle and sometimes disconnects; not very reliable. The footswitch has a strange engaging action - you need to press and let go to turn it on or off, it doesn't click or work when you just press. Very counter intuitive and annoying, especially when you have other pedals on the board that works normally. I still couldn't get used to that action.
