The rotating seat at this stool will give you loud creaking sounds even if you are not really moving. These sounds almost drowns out my guitar at recordings. I will buy something made of solid wood instead, without moving parts.

Having only ever played standing or sitting on a desk-chair, playing on a bar stool is a fantastic improvement for playing while sitting. The brown, debossed seat looks great, and will fit in any studio or office space.
Assembly is easy and fast, and the 360° rotation is quite smooth and consistent. While there are spongier chairs out there, for this price the Taylor stool is perfect. Being able to put a knee up on the circular bar allows you to prop your guitar up in the perfect position, reducing neck and arm fatigue.
