Best hoop saver out there
Mr. drummer 04.01.2016
Most hoop savers are too thick and it can be problematic to attach certain bass drum pedals to the bass drum hoop. This Wood hoop saver is ultra thin but made from strong rubber. Love it, and you can even put one on each side of the hoop to protect it even further.

slim protection

These hoop savers a little thin , which is not necessary a bad thing, they are low profile and look nice but still, just to be on a safe side, I use them on the bottom of hoop, and on the top of the hoop I use thicker Gibraltar SC-BDHG Bass Drum Hoop Guard, so they combine really well, one below , other above, complete protection from pedal scratches.

Better than nothing but far from ideal.

They are not bad for the price. My issue however is they get squished very easily if you tighten the pedal a bit too much and then the squish marks just stay. And they tend to un-stick at the edges. They are also way too thin in my opinion. I am almost afraid the clamp will crunch my hoop right through them if i accidentally overcrank it. I use 2 pairs and stick em together 2 by 2 with super glue. And again, they tend to unstick. Maybe i just got a bad batch, but i expected better, honestly.
