Light and stable, well thought -out in the details.
Alex L.Unatic 22.12.2021
Does what it's supposed to do. A truly light, reasonably stable stand.with attention to detail (the rubber parts are quality, the memory lock is a nice touch). A bit more stability would be most welcome, but double braced legs would increase weight.

Old style modern features.

Bought 2 of these stands. Already have the cymbal stands and the hi hat stand. Locking mechanism as described by the Peter Erskine video is very good. Not as light as I thought it might have been. Well made however 1 of the units I bought the sliding arm was very stiff. seems stable but due to current lack of gigs etc. haven't really had a chance to put it through it's paces.

Actually IS Lightweight
HDLawrence 11.09.2018
Finally a stand that claims to be lightweight, and actually is. This stand holds my heavy stavewood snare drum absolutely firmly, even on a bouncy hollow stage in a marquee at a wedding. The rubber ends of each arm are nicely designed so you can pop the drum in and out of the cradle with ease.
The ONLY (and I mean only) criticism of this stand is that the most effective way of collapsing it for travel means losing your angle adjustment - I'm not sure it would have been possible with this design, so I guess the guys at TAMA have made the call on that.
I have the tom stand too, and it's equally suited to my needs. Perfect fot the working drummer who carries their own drums around!

Very lightweight, but steady and well built.
If you want to make your hardware bag lighter, start with this!
