Very nice entry level PAR lights.

Great product for the price i paid, infact i bought many of them.
I use this product to illuminate the artists on the stage.
The Pro's i noticed are:
-Very lighweight
-Easy to mount (on a structure)
-Great materials quality
-Compact
-High illuminating power

The Cons are:
-The DMX switches are too small, i have to use a toothpick to choose the channels
-This is an RGB only light, so the colour mixing is not very accurate.

Add some atmosphere to your studio.

This is now known in our place as the house "party light".

If you're not too serious about lighting, this is a fairly cheap, energy efficient light. It's not blinding when it's on, but it has a few settings on the back for self-controlled operation.

When it's on, the party has officially started. That's for sure.

Of course with no control mechanism or brain, we are treated to a smooth transition of colours (you can set this via the PIN jumpers on the back).

I bought a DMX mixer for it, but couldn't get them to talk unfortunately. So I kept the light.

Pros - cheap and cheerful, works fine, a decent amount of light comes out.

Cons - Not that bright, light is quite focussed, not diffuse. Also, the cable is VERY short, although I'm sure it's the correct length if you were to permanently mount it on something.

Does the job

Good light output from a small, light unit. However the build quality isn't great and in the past year I've had to repair 4/5 units (full disclosure - I don't flight case them, although they are kept in boxes). Most damage has come from moving the legs around (rubber washers break, threads wear). However, they are very cheap and there's a fair amount of DMX control available. They also look great and come with some useful built in colour chases and fades. The light output is nice and even, covers a decent area and there's very little fringing apparent (unless you put them right against a wall or something).

Cheap and cheerful, but be prepared to pamper them a bit.
