Sub Bass Generator in gewohnter SSL Qualität

SubGen stösst in dieselbe Lücke wie konkurrierende Plugins von Plugin Alliance, Leapwing Audio oder Waves. Und wie fast immer schaffen es die Briten von Solid State Logic, noch eine Schippe drauf zu legen. Es ist schwer, "wissenschaftlich" zu begründen, was einem an SSL Plugins so gut gefällt. Ich würde es als "breiteren Sweetspot" beschreiben. Jedenfalls wenn man einen Bass andicken oder einer Stimme mehr Durchsetzungskraft im Mix oder Voiceover hinzufügen will, ist Subgen ein Werkzeug der Wahl. Es ist schwer, damit einen Mix oder eine Spur zu verschlechtern. Bei Kickdrums, Bassgitarren oder gut gefilterten Bass Synths ist SubGen ein Genuß. Gui, Presets und Bedienbarkeit sind - wie fast immer bei SSL - exzellent. Man hat schließlich einen Ruf!

Das Plugin sieht nett aus, hat auch schöne Features. Aber ich finde den Klang einfach nicht schön.

Ich hatte subtile Wärme erwartet, aber ich bekomme das mit diesem Plugin nicht hin. Entweder ist der Sound zu brachial und zu heftig, oder so subtil, dass man es auch weglassen kann. Hat nicht in meine Kette gepasst.
