Perfect case!
SENDERV 05.11.2017
Prefect case to protect your precious! Lots of room to store extra items needed when traveling with your bass. No space goes unused like with other cases. Thats a big plus!
Unlike other cases, the way of securing your guitar is slightly different. Where with all cases i previously owned, you lay your bass in securely en close it like a lid. With the skb both sides of the case fall into each other to really secure your guitar. Smart move in my opinion!

This case is really worth the investment. I know my guitar is perfectly safe in its case. I don't travel with it on planes, but i guess that would't be a problem. Its really sturdy!

If you are looking for a good case that will provide lots of safety for a long time, THIS is the one for you! ....and me ;)

TN
great protection.
Thomas N. 742 24.09.2013
This is a great case. Its very robust and i should know i have been useing it to transport my bass to many gigs in the last few months its taken every kind of bump and bang without even a scratch. I baught the case for that very reason. i have a very busy giging schedule at the moment sometimes 2 gigs a night and as my band are not to the level that we have helpers to transport our equipment our selfs. here is where my only problem with the case comes in and i mean slight problem its a little on the heavy side. when it comes to transporting my bass on foot from one gig to another in the city center it can get a bit heavy but not to the point that it would put me off recomending this case to anyone. all in all a great hard case

Good case although unreliable handle
jscot 15.08.2013
A good case it fits a jazz, precision or any standard bass shape, the material inside is well fitted and the case is sturdy and protects easily, my only faults with the case are minor; the handle where one of the hinge clips that hold the plastic rod snapped whilst i mostly use this case for storage and use a padded gig bag for transporting my bass when im walking or trying to save space in the car i would expect the area around the handle to be a lot stronger, also the amount of storage space in the its big enough to accomodate a strap and lead its hard to fit more than one lead in without fear of breaking or damaging the leads by having to pack them in too tightly so they'll fit

Good case but not for Sandberg bases
Rasmussen 09.05.2021
I queried Thomann support for a recommended case for a Sandberg (Ida Nielsen) bass, and the SKB44 was recommended. It has the shape of a J- or P-bass, but as the Sandberg bass' body is somewhat smaller, the bass is not secured and firm in this case. Case however fits a Yamaha BB bass nicely, so this is the future use for the case, as the case seems fine, solid and easy to handle.
