Seymour Duncan SJBJ-1B BLK

63

Pickup

The "big" brother SH4 is one of the most popular exchange pickups ever. Very similar to the SH4, the SJBJ-1B brings the sound that many guitarists want (especially in the bridge position). High output with a lot of overtones, you can let it sing and roar as you wish! A very hot tip for the many guitarists, who would like to have a bit more puck on the bridge of their Strat, but do not want to change the look (and the wood volume!) of their guitars by installing a big humbucker.

  • The sound of a humbucker in single coil format
  • High output with lots of sustain and many overtones
  • Colour: Black
  • Bridge position

Top notch!

As always, the quality of a Seymour Duncan is superior to most brands.
First off, don't expect this one to sound like a full sized humbucker, 'cause it doesn't. It sounds more like a single coil on steroids.
Don't let the Maiden boys' crappy guitar sound discourage you, this one sounds killer.
I put this in a swamp ash body and it was a perfect fit with great balance from bass to treble. Off course, it's in bridge position acting as a hot rhythm single coil where it responds good to rolling off the volume for a warmer, less distorted sound. Since it has that hot feel to it, I'm gonna buy one more and install it in neck position. Crazy? Yeah maybe...but how cool wouldn't shredding sound with that hot single coil-sound in neck position??

Amazing!

I have nothing bad to say about this pick up! I have tried out so many different pick ups in the past, this fits me perfect. I find it very dynamic and flexible. It works fine for cleaner sounds and metal distortioin as well. It was just this flexibility I was looking for because I play all kinds of music styles. One thing I also love with this pick up is the noise reduction, I could say good bye to the loud humming finally.
If you never play metal, punk rock or heavier music, this might be too much for you, but it really have great flexibility. I will never need anything else than this pick up for my needs, it complete everything.

Excellent !!

This is def an upgrade worth its weight in gold. I recently installed this into my Mex Fender Strat and the difference is just stunning. Super high input that gives you tons of low end in the bridge position super quite when engaged zero buzz!
It may seem a little pricey but just wait until you hear it in action worth every penny!
