Dopo tanti pensieri ho deciso di fare lo switch da UAD Apollo X6 a RME con questa edizione speciale della mitica Fireface 802 appena aggiornata a FS.. e non posso essere più felice. Le mie Focal Solo6 non hanno mai suonato così bene, la qualità di conversione di questi nuovi convertitori RME (gli stessi della top di gamma UFX-III) è pazzesca.

Il livello di dettaglio e chiarezza sia nei monitor che in cuffia è al top assoluto, finalmente 12 input di linea per i miei synth (+ altri 16 via ADAT), Room EQ per la correzione della stanza a latenza 0 dove ho importato le misure di SoundID, il crossfeed in cuffia, TotalMix un pò ostico ma potentissimo. Unico neo la mancanza del knob del volume, ho dovuto quindi prendere anche il controller USB ARC che risulta molto comodo anche per altre cose.

Se non ti serve il display, il MADI, DuREC, preamp senza controllo del gain digitale e ti bastano 30 input ma con la stessa qualità audio della flagship UFX-III allora la 802 FS è la scheda che fa per te!
