Bei keiner Entscheidung habe ich mich so schwer getan wie bei diesem Sax. Und das liegt nicht nur an dem relativ hohen Preis. Das Instrument ist Handarbeit und das sieht man an einigen Stellen. Nicht alles ist perfekt; allerdings sind die wesentlichen Stellen (Lötstellen, Polster) dem Wert entsprechend, so dass das Instrument hervorragend anspricht.
Optisch sind die versilberten Teile (Klappen und S-Bogen) sowie die Perlmutteinlagen sehr schön. Das Instrument ist nicht lackiert. Die Oberfläche des Korpus ist daher sicher Geschmacksache.

Aber das wesentliche ist natürlich der Sound. Und der war auch letztendlich der Ausschlag für meine Entscheidung. Besonders gut kommen alte Jazz-Standards. Der Sound ist weich und die Töne lassen sich gut "modellieren".

Auch ich hatte lange gehadert, der Preis ist schließlich nicht ohne. Zugegeben, ich bin lediglich ein ambitionierter Amateur dennoch war die Entscheidung goldrichtig.
Zuvor hatte ich seit gut 4 Jahren das Thomann Alt Antique welches auch gute Dienste geleistet hatte, wollte aber nun ein professionelleres Sax und das ist es.
Nach ca 4 Wöchiger Umgewöhnung besticht das Sax durch seine gute Ansprache in den tiefen ( nach Übung )und den Highnotes sowie der hervorragende Verarbeitung. Keine unsauberen Lötstellen absolut dicht und die leichtgängige Klappenmechanik machen das bespielen zur echten Freude.
Mir gefällt der unlackierte Korpus sehr gut, und der Sound ist warm irgendwie einzigartig und im Bandgefüge gut durchsetzungsfähig. Was für mich jedoch als Amateur wichtig ist , der Ton sitzt ,keine Ausgleichsmechanismen nötig um Ihn zu treffen selbst das hohen Bereichen kein Problem.
Das mitgelieferte Mundstück reicht mir bis jetzt völlig aus, was soll ich sagen ich bin verliebt in das Teil
Eine echte italienische Schönheit mit wunderbarer Stimme.
