Stunning playability and tone, but be aware of sandpaper like effect
scomer 21.10.2022
I had to try these out on my ES-335 Yamaha, which I use for rock and jazz.
I have long wished for strings that kept the bending properties that roundwound strings offer compared to flatwounds. These are definately the best bend friendly flatwounds I have ever tried. Compared to all the major brands this is the best.

But, then there is the sandpaper effect, which unfortunately makes me wanna take them off again, which I will do.

The top E1, A2, D3 are really rough as sandpaper. I feel like the only trick is to carve off enough dead skin for the sandpaperstrings to be satisfied.

Its a shame, for they are so promising and the tone offers mids, that are'nt normally found in jazzstrings. Makes my drives sound better than any flatwounds I have tried.

Hope that they make a better smoothing of the top three strings and reintroduce them soon.

Gute Flat-Hybridsaite
Stefan L. 950 18.12.2022

Flatwound touch with a brighter sound
Erwanthecat 27.12.2022
