This is a great looking, informative, easy to read and useful book.
If you are remotely interested in modular then you can not go far wrong with this. This basically has it all.
It is great for anyone starting in modular. And enjoyable for the experienced modular synth owners.
Totally worth the money

I'd like more hands-on
Henrik M 11.03.2022
I hoped there would be a bit more hands-on in the book.
It teaches a lot of stuff around modular, story, different modules. And a few patches.

But I'd really like it to be even more hands-on for beginners, such as "take the output from a VCO with triangle output, put it into ring modulator input 1. Then take the output from VCO [bla bla bla]" etc.

Excellent and beautiful book
Ech0 24.09.2020
Not cheap, but worth every penny considering the content and layout.
The authors give a very good introduction of modular synthesis and all its aspects, flavored with a lot of good interviews with manufacturers and artists.
Recommended for both beginners and professionals alike, as the book dives deep into the functionalities of plenty of nowadays available modules

Beautiful glossy book that belongs on your bookshelf if your a synth geek. it's a pure joy to leaf through it. lots of history in it and insights on how artists make specific sounds using modulars and their modules. good for beginners, maybe not so much for advanced users. advanced users would just get it as a collectors item I guess.
