converter XLR plug

In situations when I have to connect 'wrong' type of XLR plugs/sockets I use a cable with these plugs. Brilliant. Very useful for last minute, unexpected challenges.
My second cable with this plug is XLR-1/4" socket, if the problem involves 1/4" connection.
Plug is quite big so not the best for regular connections, where standard xlr's are best, but as problem solver, perfect.

I was looking for a special multicore cable with 8 ins, 2 outs and 2 ins or outs as it is needed...so I used this type of neutrik plug for the 2 ins or outs...it is a bit tricky to assembly, but over all it is a great product.

I've seen these around for a a number of years online and this was the ideal solution for a 100M XLR extension reel, allowing the drum to be used at either at source or output end depending on the situation. Like all Neutrik products, it is a fantastic piece of engineering!
