This is a very helpful & necessary accessory if you want to make cables with a diameter at 7.00 or 7.50mm. You can combine it with Neutrik connectors such as NP2X, NP3X, NP2X-B, NP3X-B, etc.

Might make making cables faster and easier
Funeral Musician 23.01.2023
Since the diameter of the cable I had was 7.2 mm, and the maximum cable diameter specified by Neutrik for the NP2RX plugs was 7 mm, I bought a few of these to make making my own cables a little bit easier. I threaded the cable through one of these bushings and, since the hole in them is 8 mm in diameter, there was a gap around the cable, which I did not like. Then, I tried threading the cable through one of the bushings that came with the NP2RX plugs, and, surprisingly, it fit! Putting them on the cable was not easy, but at least there was no gap anymore. If the gap is not a problem either function- or cosmetics-wise, these bushings can make making your own cables faster and easier. Otherwise, I would only recommend these bushings if the diameter of the cable you want to use is the same as the diameter of the hole, which is 8 mm.

boot could have some seal
a Tamás 31.12.2024
These are meant for cables with an outer diameter of 7-8mm. I've used them on the Sommer Spirit LLX (7.2mm) and the Sommer Carbokab 225 (7.6mm). The boot of BPX-L does not have a thin seal part on the opening like the normal size boot that comes with PX series plugs. I've had success putting the tighter boot on the 7.2mm cable but it's very hard to put on the 7.6mm one so that's where this product comes in.
Tip 1: You can mix and match this with the normal tighter chuck and boot. Try the tighter chuck first as it might grab better.
Tip 2: If you are adding a straight connector (e.g. NP2X or NP3X), it's easier to hold the boot in place and screw the connector body on than doing the opposite. This technique can work with the normal tighter boot as well which seals better.
