So happy I ordered this from the first batch, I have lots of other synths but the Muse has a special sound and vibe and using it is super intuitive and luxurious. Great sound and a very interesting modern take on the classic Moog sound. If you re contemplating this, I think you won't regret it. Build quality is great also in case you were unsure.

Its made in Taiwan and therefore its not the moog company of old. Once we get past that and we can rejoice in the fact that the moog brand still exists. To my mind, I think the product could be better. It feels like the release has been rushed by the new owners. Hopefully firmware releases will improve a few niggly things. It is one of the brightest, most responsive synths I own and I like that. I dont hsve s problem with the build quality unlike dome people. To my mind its better than the all plastic case of the matriarch which has never sat flat on my desktop and its certainly no worse than arturia, or sequential synths I own. Some of the factory installed presets are a bit naff. Major gripe for me in the lack of memory. 256 slots is pathetic.

I love it, using it on everything, specially the CS80-like pads. I don’t like it for bass much, and I think there is still a lot that can be improved in the firmware, but I’ll wait

Ich habe den Muse bestellt, weil ich nach YT Videos dachte, dass er meinen Memorymoog LAMM ersetzen könnte, nicht zuletzt auch wegen des programmierbaren Arpeggiators und Sequencers mit Möglichkeit der Transposition. Auf dem Papier sah alles so aus, dass es um einen echten Monstersynth handelt. Mechanisch ist der Muse prinzipiell in Ordnung, die leicht klapprige Klaviatur ist zwar bissl unangenehm, aber akzeptabel, die Taster irgendwie billig, aber warum nicht. Vinylbeschichtung völlig in Ordnung. Klang klassisch analog, aber nichts umwerfendes, richtig fette Klänge eigentlich nur im Unisono-Modus, sehr schöne dynamische FM-Klänge. Im Unisono-Modus, insbesondere beim Spielen der Akkorde in Staccato merkt man ein wechselhaft verschobenes Timing. Beim schnellen Legato-Spiel manchmal subjektiv fehlenden Noten. Synchronisierung von Arp und Seq via MIDI zum Drumcomputer in Ordnung. Der Arpeggiator startet jedoch mit so einer Verzögerung, dass das für mich ein absoluter Dealbreaker ist. Meiner Meinung nach wurde hier ziemlich am CPU gespart, der Prozessor ist offensichtlich zu langsam und das kann kaum ein Firmware-Update beheben (da würde ich mich sehr gerne irren). Daraufhin geht der Muse zurück und ich warte in aller Ruhe ab, ob eine verbesserte Version auf den Markt kommt.
P.S. Empfehlung für alle begeisterten potenziellen Käufer: Nicht allen YT-Videos glauben, unbedingt vor dem Kauf selbst ausprobieren und nicht Katze im Sack kaufen ;)
