O
Good Value
Oliver2481 12.08.2014
I bought Mooer's Skyverb to get something that my amp lacked - a heavy reverb with a very long decay time in order to get a more droning sound when bowing my guitar.
First impressions are that the pedal is quite sturdily-built for a pedal of its size and price: the housing is metal, the main knob is chunky and the switch seems quite hardy. It's also nice to have something which doesn't take up much room on my small pedalboard (although the lack of room for a 9V battery means that a decent power supply, and room for it, is necessary).
I would have no qualms about using this pedal in a live environment at small to large club shows, but would not trust it's quality for very large shows. The problem is that the longer decay sounds seem to 'throb' slightly as if they were a delay signal, and there is also a fairly noticeable digital 8bit noise underlying the sound, which is quite a shame when using a very clean tone, although I suspect using a dirtier tone would worsen this. There is also a fairly loud click when the pedal is turned on, which does cause some issue when trying to use it subtly.
Overall, however, it's good value for money, especially being true bypass, and does what it says on the tin. I wouldn't mind paying slightly more for a pedal of its size and type if Mooer got rid of the underlying noise.

O
Basic little reverb; does exacty what I bought it for.
OphiuchusRising 04.05.2021
Bought this lil' verb about a year ago together with my first tube amp (Marshall Origin 50H; it doesn't have a built in reverb).

I wasn't very impressed with the verb at first but after a full year of experimenting, I can honestly say that it does exactly what I needed from a basic reverb.

The breakthrough came when I did a proper guitar setup a few months back and everything started to sound as I wanted it to. The main problem was that my pickup's (humbuckers) were set way to high which caused the reverb to respond way out of proportion, very harshly, as did the amp incidentally. Once the pup's were set at the 'correct' height, the reverb performed very nicely interacting with the amp. I've been finding myself using the 'church' mode predominantly.

Conclusion: If you're looking for a basic reverb to add to your amp without too much bells and whistles and with straightforward controls, you should try one of these.

A
Compact size, huge sound
Anonymous 02.07.2015
This Mooer reverb pedal is perfect if your looking for a compact pedal that will deliver a good range reverb sounds. The three options of Studio, Church, and Plate reverbs, and the easy to use and sensitive controls let you create the perfect reverb to suit your sound, whether you want a gentle small room effect to give your playing just a touch of extra depth, or the sound of a huge hall for those emotional 80's solos.

Like all Mooer pedals the Sky Verb is nicely compact to fit easily into your existing setup without too much hassle.

P
Could be better
Pkbt 23.07.2020
I used it on my practice pedalboard. I wanted something very portable and I went for mooer styled effects. This one sound fair, but it's a bit too dark for me and a bit muddy. Eventually changed it to HOF2
