Ce joli et ingénieux métissage entre des congas et des bongos ouvre un tas de possibilités de jeux avec plein de styles de musiques: musiques des Caraïbes, musiques latines et afro-americaines, mento, ska, rocksteady, reggae, soul, funk, jazz, hip hop, disco, house, gospel, rumba, salsa...ce qui pourrait en faire Le tambour parfait pour la Great Black Music !
Je le cherchais, je l'ai trouvé, merci Meinl !
Je suis instrumentiste à cordes plus que percussioniste et je vis dans un petit appartement: ces Conguitas sont un gain de place et d'argent non négligeable par rapport à des congas.
D'autant plus que la qualité est là, je trouve le prix très attractif.
L'objet est magnifique, les finitions soignées, les fûts et les peaux sont très bons. Très facile à monter et à accorder. Le pied est irréprochable, très stable.
Pour ce qui est du son, Thomann propose un enregistrement qui ne les met pas vraiment en valeur. En effet, ces tambours commencent à sonner à partir d'une certaine tension. Sur l'enregistrement, les peaux ne sont pas assez tendues. Ça fait un peu "flop", alors que, bien accordés, la tonique de ces Conguitas donnent une belle note bien claire et bien pleine. Effectivement à mi-chemin entre congas et bongos.
Comme toute peau animale, elles réagissent beaucoup à la météo, mais ça, j'adore ! C'est comme un baromètre !
Il n'y a pas de housse associée mais j'ai une housse de cajòn Meinl dans laquelle ils se glissent tous les deux parfaitement !
Le seul petit défaut que je leur trouve, c'est que le stand, réglé au minimum de sa hauteur, est trop haut pour les jouer assis. C'est à savoir: ce sont des tambours à jouer debout ! (Ce qui est super aussi...)
Bref, ce petit bijou est génial, merci Meinl !

This pretty and ingenious mix between congas and bongos opens up a lot of playing possibilities with lots of music styles: Caribbean music, Latin and Afro-American music, mento, ska, rocksteady, reggae, soul, funk, jazz, hip hop, disco, house, gospel, rumba, salsa...which could make it The perfect drum for Great Black Music! I was looking for it, I found it, thank you Meinl! I am a string instrumentalist more than a percussionist and I live in a small apartment: these Conguitas are a significant saving of space and money compared to congas. Especially since the quality is there, I find the price very attractive. The object is magnificent, the finishes are neat, the barrels and skins are very good. Very easy to assemble and tune. The foot is impeccable, very stable. As for the sound, Thomann offers a recording which does not really highlight them. Indeed, these drums start to sound from a certain tension. On the recording, the skins are not tight enough. It sounds a bit "flop", whereas, well tuned, the tonic of these Conguitas gives a beautiful, very clear and full note. Indeed halfway between congas and bongos. Like all animal skins, they react a lot to the weather, but I love this! It's like a barometer! There is no associated bag but I have a Meinl cajon bag that they both fit perfectly into! The only small fault I find with them is that the stand, set to its minimum height, is too high to play them seated. You should know: these are drums to be played standing up! (Which is also great...) In short, this little gem is great, thank you Meinl!

Bei unserer Rock-Pop-Coverband, haben wir oft das Problem, zu wenig Platz auf der Bühne, für zwei ausgewachsene Congas zu haben. Wir probierten ein Bongo-Pärchen aus, welches aber vom Klang her bisschen dünne war. Die Conguitas lassen sich wie Congas spielen, brauchen aber nur die Hälfte des Platzes und wiegen auch nur die Hälfte. Trotzdem haben sie einen sehr schönen und durchsetzungsfähigen Klang, der sich gut vom Soundmann bearbeiten lässt. Auch optisch machen sie auf der Bühne mehr her als Bongos. Ausprobieren!

Buone conguitas ma non ottime

Le conguitas hanno un suono discreto ma non ottimo. Il meglio sarebbe avere la possibilità di acuistare pelli sintetiche poichè non è detto che dal vivo reggano l'umidità. Possono essere un buon compromesso tra bongos e congas, per completare un set, ma non per sostituire ne uno ne l'altro. Il supporto è solido e ben piantato... però... non è adatto per suoanre da seduti in quanto anche nella posizione più bassa possibile è troppo alto. Lascia un pò a desiderare la meccanica di blocco dell'asta nel caso in cui debba essere sollevato un pochino in altezza.
