Good for fingerpicking and for strumming too, and very affordable. Like in the good old days.

Martin acoustic strings - great sound!
RichH 31.07.2023
I'm mainly an electric player, but it was time to re-string my acoustic steel string, so thought I'd try these.

Of course Martin is a very reputable brand for acoustic guitars, but I'd not tried their strings before.

Sound is good, they are not too heavy, so are fairly easy to play - especially coming from playing light strings on an electric.

In conclusion, I'd certainly be happy to buy again, and price was very reasonable.

Martin wouldn't put their name on bronze acoustic strings that weren't up to scratch. These are good value, good quality, and ring beautifully on my budget Martin. If you don't like coated strings, these do the job perfectly.

best value for money

These are top quality strings at a very good price. Over the years I've tried many options, but for live concerts where accidents cost valuable seconds, these are reliable, strong strings with a good sound. I've opted for the Darco version (presumably the same strings but packaged in pairs) for the last few years, but now that the price of these is the same, I prefer them, also partly because they are individually packaged and easier to find when you break a string on stage. There are better options for studio recordings, but for a live gig this is the cheapest and most reliable option.
