PS
Excellent compact bass combo!
Poor Skeleton 20.06.2024
I wanted something a bit more compact than my CMD 151P combo (not that it is particularly large or heavy). This amp seemed to fit the bill and I have to say I am very happy with it.

I suppose it’s a fairly basic amp - input level, four band EQ and master volume - but everything works as it should and the basic sound is very much to my liking. I particularly like the VPF control of the CMD 151P and the preset contour of the Minimark 802 N 300 doesn’t provide the same level of control, but it’s a good starting point and the 4 band EQ has plenty of range to fine tune to your exact taste. In comparison to the CMD 151P the sound is a bit “boxy” but that’s easily mitigated with the EQ and is a small price to pay for the small package it all comes in. At the other extreme, the piezo can be a bit harsh if you go mad with the HF EQ, but I always keep things rolled of up there, anyway, and if you like a brighter sound it might be just to your taste.

I’ve not had the opportunity to really turn it up, yet, but it feels as though it would be perfectly adequate for most purposes and with the ability to hook up an extension cab and the direct output to feed a PA there are useable options for larger gigs, too.

All in all, I’m very happy with my purchase!
