A heavy beast!

This stand is very heavy. That makes it also extremely stable and free of vibrations. When used as a microphone stand this is of great advantage. Of course this stand is also perfect to mount a small camera at great heigth, or a heavy lamp.

One detail is a bit annoying: when the stand is fully shoved in and you want to extend it, the fixing knob of the leg spreaders also has to be loosened, or the sections will be stuck in the outer pipe. I want to unfold the legs, lock them and then extend the sections, but that logical order is not possible. When collapsing the stand back, after use, you also need to loosen the leg spreader knob in order to be able to shove in all the sections. So I give only three stars for handling.
