K&M 15580 Violin Holder BK

Its ok and stable enough. The rubber that makes contact with the mic stand started slipping off after some months but it's not an issue. The violin slot is a perfect size and the bow hook has a small nut at the end to stop the bow sliding off accidentally. The quality is adequate for full time use.

The holder is mounted on a music stand and perfectly supports the violin. The bow hook is also nice, but taking the bow out of the hook always has a risk to break few hairs, therefore, extra care should be taken.

I have one for a Gewa Line E-Violin. It is a reasonable price; it attaches to a stand easily and holds the violin and bow securely. I actually use it attached to a kitchen cabinet handle which I screwed to the wall; keeps the violin safe and I can re-attach it to a mic stand for a gig. One minor criticism: the bow hangs on a short pin at the front so you have to put the violin on the holder before the bow and pick up in the reverse order which feels unnatural, but definitely worth four stars.

This stand is a bit expensive but it does the job very well.

Much better than the old ones. Easy to use and I´m no longer worrying about the violin falling down from the holder like I used to with the old one.

Nice holder that keeps your violin and bow in place at live gigs. The holder has velvet like surface that protect your violin for scratches. Comparing to older violin holder from K&M this takes more space when transporting it another negative issue is that the bow is hanging in front of the violin which makes it hard to remove the violin and leaving the bow on the stand.

Very handy, better than a floor stand.

I bought this violin holder to use for mandolins & it works pretty good for that.
Possibly if your mandolin has a really fat neck, it may not fit. However it works just fine with my two stage mandolins.
